The tuition and registration fee are due in full upon enrollment. Receipt of your payment reserves your placement at the chosen 1, 2, 3, or 4 options available and signifies an agreement to these policies through the course of the student's enrollment.

steps for registration


1.  Fill out the sign up form on our website for lessons.   If you are in Option 1 or 3, with multiple people in your group or party, please give each person's first name and email address so an invoice can be emailed to each group member or party guest individually.  A host/hostess of a group or party event can feel free to pay for the entire tuition costs, but teacher will need the names of each individual who will be admitted into the private session online.  Schedule a Piano Party on this form.

2.  Pay your invoice in full by  Thursday before your first lesson, or party event, to complete enrollment. 

3.  You will receive an email  to create a password and finish setting up your account on the video conferencing dashboard.  This is where you will print sheet music, worksheets, or lesson materials per the option you've chosen. All options will have at least sheet music to print out for each individual attending the session.

4. Log In to your account, change the timezone, if needed, and navigate to the the first lesson or event date on the calendar.  Confirm that your dates are accurate.  On the day of your lesson or event, an email with a link will be sent for you to join the session. Click the link and join the session.

Miss A Lesson?

Reschedule easily for options 2 and 4 with a calendar provided at enrollment. There are no refunds from Sound of Joy Music Studio or the teacher if a reschedule date can not be managed.  If you know you will not be at one lesson during the 12 week period, let the teacher know well in advance so an assignment can be emailed to you.  A 48 hour advance notice is appreciated.

A substitute may be added a week prior to the 12 week session but the name of the person must be given to teacher so she can allow them into the video conferencing room.

For option 3, the party host can substitute a different person to sit in on the learning session party.  There are no refunds from Sounds of Joy Music Studio or the teacher.  The party host/hostess can settle up between absent and present guests as he/she wishes.

CODE OF CONDUCT

At Sounds of Joy Music Studio, we seek to create a learning environment based on mutual respect between students and teachers. If a student’s behavior is disruptive to a class or is disrespectful to a teacher or fellow student, the individual will be asked to step aside and let another take their turn at the party or group session. Our hope is that with good communication the issue can be resolved. If the problematic behavior persists, Sounds of Joy Music Studio reserves the right to cancel the student’s participation without refund of tuition.
